Initial Assessment
In an initial assessment, you will be asked a lot of questions about your medical history, family history, psychiatric history, personal and family life, and general lifestyle. The initial assessment allows our staff to understand your current concerns, your past problems, and what treatments have/have not worked for you previously. It will help to identify if psychiatry is indeed the correct treatment route for you.
Evaluation
Having a mental health therapy evaluation allows our ARHMHS counseling professionals in Minnesota to form a more complete understanding of the way you think, feel and reason. The evaluation will assess your emotional well-being with a series of questions. It assesses your emotional, behavioral, and physical problems in much greater depth than the initial assessment. This evaluation assists in diagnosing mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
